Small Actions, Big Impact for Ban Don Han Mangrove Forest

On 17 June 2026, the mangrove forest at Ban Don Han, Don Sak District, Surat Thani Province, was filled with energy and enthusiasm as Khanom Electricity Generating Company Limited (KEGCO), led by Mr. Rachen Boonyapipat, together with executives, employees, contractors, and interns, participated in a mangrove planting activity under the project to enhance mangrove biodiversity through academic knowledge and environmental learning.

Throughout the morning, participants worked together to plant mangrove seedlings in the rich coastal ecosystem. Despite the muddy terrain and warm weather, their smiles and teamwork reflected a shared commitment to environmental stewardship.

Mangrove forests play a vital role in protecting shorelines from erosion, providing habitats and nursery grounds for marine life, and supporting the balance of coastal ecosystems. Planting mangrove trees is therefore more than simply increasing green space—it is an investment in nature, biodiversity, and the future of coastal communities.

The activity also provided an opportunity for participants to connect with nature, gain a deeper understanding of the value of mangrove ecosystems, and contribute positively to the environment through meaningful action.
